“The Bridge” of Unilever Bestfoods Netherlands in Rotterdam is known nationwide for its distinctive architecture and prominent location. Even in 2001, sustainability was a central focus for the project and its heating and cooling systems were central to that focus.
During its development in 2001, it was stipulated that sustainability should be central to the project, both for heating and cooling. This was no easy task, because the steel structure encompassed 18.000 m2 (193.750 square feet) of office space, spread over four floors. It had walls made almost exclusively from glass.
The solution was found in the Mini, which uses Jaga’s Low-H20 convector technology, and absorbs the cold trap of the windows completely. The Mini from Jaga, a specialist in climate control solutions.
