The Pricewaterhouse Coopers Headquarters is the first building in London and only the third in the entire United Kingdom to achieve the BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ sustainability accreditation. With a flexible, open-plan, the Embankment Place office houses more than 10,000 employees in one of the UK’s most environmentally friendly buildings.
After an exhaustive review of competitive trench heating systems, approximately 2,500 meters of Jaga’s Mini Canal trench heating was selected by building services engineers BDP and fit-out contractors Overbury for installation.
The Mini Canal is one of a comprehensive range of natural and dynamic trench heating systems marketed by Jaga and features the company’s ultra-responsive, Low-H2O heat exchanger for precise temperature control.
The low mass, low water content Low-H2O exchanger was also able to work far more efficiently than competitive trench heating systems and produce high heat outputs when fed with the low 45° flow temperature of the water from the CCHP system.
